The Redbirds (40+) turned a warm spring evening at The Parks at Texas Star into a full-on fireworks show Wednesday night, erupting for 21 runs in a jaw-dropping rout of the Mustangs. And at the center of the offensive explosion stood Joe Lowry, who delivered a blistering 4-for-4 performance at the plate and drove in four runs to lead the Redbirds to a statement victory.

Lowry wasted no time asserting himself, doubling in two runs in the second inning as part of a record-setting 11-run outburst that buried the Mustangs early. He would later add RBI singles in both the second and third innings, capping a flawless day that earned him undisputed Player of the Game honors. His consistency, poise, and timing at the plate ignited an offense that was simply unstoppable from the first pitch.

The scoring started in the top of the first when Jerry Anderson opened the floodgates with an RBI single. Dustin Harrison followed by grounding into a fielder’s choice that brought in another run, and Chris Cec added to the early advantage with a two-run single to make it 4-0 before the Mustangs had a chance to blink.

Then came the second inning—an offensive onslaught that few could have predicted. Lowry’s two-run double set the tone, followed by RBI singles from Harrison, Farris, and Mollinedo. Cec and Bedford drew bases-loaded walks, Magee was hit by a pitch to drive in a run, and Gamez added an RBI walk as the Mustangs’ defense and pitching fell apart under the relentless pressure.

In the third, the Redbirds poured it on again with six more runs. Farris doubled home one, an infield error allowed two more to score, Lowry added another RBI single, Anderson notched a fielder’s choice RBI, and Gamez capped the inning with a run-scoring single to stretch the lead to an insurmountable 21-0.

While the bats were booming, Redbirds pitching was equally impressive. Harrison got the start and earned the win, tossing two dominant innings without allowing a run while striking out two. Farris came in for relief and preserved the massive lead with a clean finish. The defense was sharp as well, playing error-free ball and flashing solid glove work behind the pitchers, with catcher Lester Bedford handling four chances flawlessly.

In all, the Redbirds racked up 15 hits, drew nine walks, stole four bases, and never looked back once they took control of the scoreboard. Lowry led the charge with his four-hit, four-RBI effort, but it was a complete team performance with every spot in the lineup finding a way to contribute.

The Redbirds now ride this wave of momentum into their next matchup against the 40+ Chihuahuas on Wednesday, looking to continue their dominance and tighten their grip on the top of the standings. But for now, all eyes are on Joe Lowry—the sparkplug who turned a regular game night into a highlight reel showcase.
