In a commanding display of offense and pitching, the DFW Redbirds (40+) secured a resounding 8-2 victory over the Brewers. Led by a stellar performance from Chris Cec, the Redbirds showcased their firepower on both sides of the ball.
The game started with a competitive edge, but the Redbirds quickly asserted their dominance. After falling behind 2-1 in the fourth inning, DFW surged ahead in the bottom of the fifth. Marc Boggio and Jerry Gamez delivered clutch hits, each driving in two runs to give the Redbirds a commanding lead.
Pitcher Cec played a pivotal role in the victory, shutting down the Brewers’ offense with a dominant performance on the mound. Over two innings of work, Cec allowed zero hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking one. Jerry Anderson set the tone early in the game, delivering a solid pitching performance over four innings.
Offensively, the Redbirds were firing on all cylinders, amassing an impressive 13 hits throughout the game. Chris Cec, Juan Mollinedo, Jerry Gamez, Joe Lowry, and Jerry Anderson each contributed two hits, while Gamez, Anderson, and Boggio stood out with two RBIs apiece.
